Nobility
The Nobility of the Kingdom of Natal is the system of hereditary titles which are bestowed by the King through issuance of letters patent. The Nobility consists of seven elements, in order of precedence: the Princes of the Realm, the Princes of the Bregentines, Royal Dukes and Earls, Noble Dukes and Earls, the old Bregentine Patriciate, the Peerage, and the Lords.
Princes of the Realm
The title of Prince is the highest title which the King can grant; Princes are second only in precedence to the King. The title of Prince can only granted to members of the House of Emmanuel who are descended from Robert, Earl of Francilia. Princes are granted the style of Royal Highness. The title of Prince is hereditary; all legitimate descendants of the King and the current Princes of the Realm shall be Princes, unless otherwise determined by the King. The current Princes of the Realm are:
- His Royal Highness Prince George, Duke of Albertschine
- Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine, Duchess of Urquhart
- His Royal Highness Prince Alexander, Earl of Sint-Niklaas
- His Royal Highness Prince Charles, Earl of Charlestown
- His Royal Highness Prince Samuel of New Essex
- His Royal Highness Prince Christian of New Essex
- His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Nassau
- His Royal Highness Prince Jacob of Charlestown
Princes of the Bregentines
The title of Prince of the Bregentines was originally granted to high-ranking Hobartian patricians; following the dissolution of the Commonwealth of Hobartstown and Victoria, the Natalian Sovereign retained the title of Prince of the Bregentines and adopted the Princedom of the Bregentines as a title in the Natalian Nobility. Princes of the Bregentines are granted the style of Royal Highness. Like the title of Prince of the Realm, all legitimate descendants of the current Princes of the Bregentines shall be Princes of the Bregentines, unless otherwise determined by the King. The current Princes of the Bregentines are:
- His Royal and Apostolic Majesty The King
- His Royal Highness Julian, Prince of the Bregentines, 1st Duke of Bregne, 1st Marquess Winchester
Prince of Oxford, Royal Dukes and Earls
Prince of Oxford is a title which can only be granted to the eldest son of the Sovereign, and is not hereditary. Royal Dukes and Earls are members of the House of Emmanuel who are granted the title of duke of a province or earl of a county. Royal Dukes and Earls who are not also Princes of the Realm are granted the style of Highness. Upon the death of a Royal Duke or Earl, the oldest living descendant shall inherit the title. The current Royal Dukes and Earls are:
- His Royal Highness Prince George, Duke of Albertschine
- Her Royal Highness Princess Madeleine, Duchess of Urquhart
- His Royal Highness Prince Alexander, Earl of Sint-Niklaas
- His Royal Highness Prince Charles, Earl of Charlestowne
- His Highness Robert, Earl of Francilia
- His Highness William, Earl of Rotterdam
- His Highness Michael, Earl of Nassau
- Her Highness Frances, Countess of New Essex
- The Principality of Oxford is in abeyance.
- The Earldom of the City of Koningswyk is in abeyance.
Noble Dukes and Earls
Noble Dukes and Earls are non-members of the House of Emmanuel who are granted the title of duke of a province or earl of a county. Noble Dukes are granted the style of Grace, while Noble Earls are granted the style of Excellency. Upon the death of a Noble Duke or Earl, the oldest living descendant shall inherit the title. The current Noble Dukes and Earls are:
- His Grace Daniel Vijzel, 1st Duke of New Victoria
- His Imperial Majesty Jonathan I, Emperor of Austenasia, 1st Duke of New Bregne
- His Excellency Edward Jacobs, 1st Earl of Richmond
- His Royal and Imperial Majesty The Holy Roman Emperor, 1st Earl of Levinton
- His Majesty Adam I, King of Uberstadt, 1st Earl of New Brabant
Bregentine Patriciate
Similar to the Princedom of the Bregentines, the old Bregentine Patriciate consists of the titles in the Hobartian patriciate which were bestowed by the Sovereign of the Commonwealth of Hobartstown and Victoria. Unlike other titles in the Natalian Nobility, the titles of the Bregentine Patriciate cannot be bestowed by the King; they are titles of a former monarchy which are recognized by the Crown. All members of the old Bregentine Patriciate are Princes of the Bregentines, and as such are granted the style of Royal Highness. Upon the death of a Bregentine Patrician, the oldest living descendant shall inherit the title. The current Bregentine Patricians are:
- His Royal Highness Julian, Prince of the Bregentines, 1st Duke of Bregne, 1st Marquess Winchester
Peerage
The Peerage consists of peers who are granted the titles of Duke, Marquess, Earl, Viscount and Baron. Titles in the Peerage are named for the surname of the recipient. Dukes are granted the style of Grace, Marquesses are granted the style of Most Honourable, Earls are granted the style of Excellency, Viscounts are granted the style of Right Honourable, and Barons are granted the style of Honourable. Upon the death of a Peer, the oldest living descendant shall inherit the title. The current members of the Peerage are:
- His Grace Richard, 1st Duke Bergen
- His Grace Major General Bradley, 1st Duke van Dullahan
- Major The Most Honourable Eren, 1st Marquess Scott
- The Right Honourable Adam, 1st Viscount Belcher
- The Honourable Richard, 1st Baron Kaufmann
- Brigadier General The Right Honourable Leon, 1st Baron Williamson
Lords
The title of Lord is unique among the titles of the Natalian Nobility in that there are no set guidelines as to how they are granted or to what sub-polity they are granted precedence in. Lords are addressed as "my Lord" and are not granted any style. Upon the death of a Lord, the oldest living descendant shall inherit the title. The current Lords are:
- His Majesty Markus II, Emperor of New Israel, 1st Lord of St. Paul
